celebrates one being with custom art and prints.
Art for One celebrates the existence of a being - a human, an animal, or an object - in relationship with another being. The concept of making art out of such everyday treasure that’s often taken for granted came to me after I adopted a senior dog from Muttville. She taught me how one loves and is loved by simply being, and I wanted to capture that in a creative and beautiful form. Prior to Art for One, my business was first named as Cowbelle Cares in honor of her.
I use Winsor & Newton gouache and watercolor, Viarco and Muji colored pencils, Copic Ciao markers, Tombow brush pens, Staedtler pigment liner pens; Canson and Arches watercolor paper, Pentalic paper for pens; and various other materials to experiment.
On all custom and original pieces, I use Krylon UV Archival Varnish to protect them against fading, dirt, moisture and discoloration. I still recommend framing them behind glass.
I try to shop locally at Blick Art Materials and Flax Art & Design or from family-owned, artist-supportive online stores, such as Jerry’s Artarama.
For custom work, if you are not satisfied with an electronic soft-proof copy, 100% will be refunded. For all other items, I will replace in-kind for damaged shipment only; please email hello@artfor.one with a picture of the damaged item taken on the day of delivery.
I’d love to know more! Please contact hello@artfor.one with a brief project description and timeline.
